COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Perfect Send Off For Oak Boss In Coleshill Shock

Mile Oak produced the shock of the day to beat league leaders Coleshill and give departing manager Neil Pitkin the perfect send-off. Pitkin is stepping down as the manager of the struggling Price Avenue to make way for a new managerial team led by Fred Harrison, and got a dream response from his side. Pitkin opened the scoring himself after 18 minutes when he volleyed home a Dean Silcox cross. But Coleshill hit back in the 35th minute when Adam Kidson was pushed in the area by Robbie Pratt and Micky Clarke converted the spot-kick. But Mile Oak were awarded their own penalty just 60 seconds later and Scott Beake's spot-kick was well saved by Coleshill keeper Greg Allen. But the referee ordered the kick to be retaken and Beake finished at the second attempt. Coleshill had a goal disallowed on 57 minutes as they pushed for an equaliser. But Oak had a perfect opportunity to kill the game off with ten minutes to go when they were awarded their second penalty and Coleshill midfielder Kevin Moore was sent off but Beake blazed the ball over the bar.
