THE team of the month curse has struck Coleshill Town but, whatever happens between now and the end of the season, chairman Paul Billing is proud of the side's efforts.

Coleshill were named the Midland Alliance team of the month for March after nine straight wins.

But they have now lost two in a row as they have seen their title charge dented.

"It's the first time we have won the team of the month and it's nice to get the recognition," said Billing. "I am pleased for everyone involved at the club . It's an honour and I am very proud of the incredible run we have had.

"Regardless of the last couple of defeats, it's still been a fantastic run and we are in line for a superb end to the campaign. We are giving ourselves something to build on.

"If we finish in the top four, given our struggles last year, we will have achieved a great deal."
