COLESHILL CHRONICLE WROTE
Town Still Pointless

These are dark days for Coleshill being bogged down at the bottom of their league. The Town were holding Walmley to a 0-0 draw when an injury to their centre half left them with ten men. This allowed the Walmley forwards to find the vacant spot to their advantage and both their goals were provided by outside left Peter Tunstall.

This was the disturbing news announced by Charity Cup Secretary Sid Boucher at the beginning of June. But after the first round draw for this year’s competition had been made, Mr Boucher was a very happy man. Thirty clubs have entered and the first round ties take place on October 17th.
