Swifts Shock Coleshill To Take The Spoils In Big Local Derby
Bolehall Swifts defied their lowly league position to beat high-flying Coleshill in this local derby. The first half was a very even affair as both teams went for the jugular, Town’s Dave Wilson went closest with an effort that cannoned against the post. The second half saw the Sifts step up a gear and their increased pressure was rewarded in the 64th minute. Kirk Maragh was sent clear and he rounded Town’s keeper Greg Allen, before slotting home. Coleshill pushed for an equaliser but they must have realised it wasn’t going to be their day when Dave Wilson and Nicky fell both hit the woodwork. Bolehall increased their lead through Man Of The Match Simon Meads. The local lad tore through Town’s back-line before unleashing an unstoppable drive past Allen in the Coleshill goal. The Swifts sealed three much needed points as Pritchett headed home the third. Bolehall’s Greg Walter’s was sent off late on but the Swifts held out for three valuable points against their rivals.
