SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
A penalty set Pershore on their way to victory. Buckley shot them ahead from the spot after 23 minutes after Annis's shot had been handled by a defender. In the 34th minute Pershore's McCormack shot into the box and his drive was deflected into goal off the head of centre half Harden. Though Coleshill's centre forward Bailey missed a sitter in the 74th minute they were awarded a penalty two minutes later when Barber upended a Coleshill striker, and Hopkins hit home the penalty kick. Pershore replied with a clever move started by McCormack in the 79th minute when he won the ball to provide Annis with a pass on the right wing and his cross was volleyed home by Pountain.
