SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Shifnal opened the scoring after just two minutes when Treharne was put through by Gallagher and with two Coleshill players challenging he fired into the bottom corner of the net. Coleshill equalised in the 22nd minute when Clarke came to the edge of his box to clear but it was blocked by McDonald and the ball fell to Johnson who lobbed the ball into the unguarded net. Shifnal dominated the early part of the second half but could not open up the Coleshill defence. Coleshill started to get back into the game and McDonald should have scored in the 59th minute but Clarke raced to the edge of the area to save. The game was now swinging from end to end with both sides having chances to score.
