COVENTRY CHARITY CUP
MASSEY FERGUSON 3 v 0 COLESHILL TOWN
Coleshill took a virtual second string to Coventry for this Charity cup game and although they contested well and played some good, neat football they were soundly beaten by their more experienced opponents. Local papers said Massey took a lot of confidence from this game and went on to win there next few games. Had they known they had not played Coleshill’s first team they might not have gained as much.
Team;- Greg Allen, Darren Pickering (Nicky Fell), Richard Gathercole, Christian Crisp, Lee O’Brien, Lawrence Shannon, Chris Kavanaugh, James Connor (Tony Gormley), Mally Powers, Dave Wilson, Lee Dempster (Liam Franks).
