MATCH REPORT

Chasetown dominated the opening exchanges and deservedly took the lead on 13 minutes when a deep cross from the right evaded the Town defence and Liam Kirton had time and space as he shot under the diving Paul Hathaway in the Coleshill goal. Coleshill struggled to get in the game but a stunning run by Amarvir Sandhu on 40 minutes nearly the full length of the pitch and crossed for the waiting Kai Tonge to side foot home. Half time Coleshill 1-1.

The second half was much more of a contest, Kirton hit the post in the first minute but Coleshill had the better chances as the half went on. Chasetown keeper Curtis Pond made a magnificent save from a power shot from Amarvir Sandhu. Taylor Byrne headed over when we’ll placed, Pond saved again from Liam Molesworth and Amarvir Sandhu set up George Washbourne perfectly but his hurried shot sailed over the bar. With the 90 minutes up Chasetown stole the tie after Korey Burke hit the post then from a corner Oli Hayward stole in at the far post and looped the ball over the heads of three Coleshill players on the line and into the far corner of the net. A half each should have resulted in a replay but it’s Chasetown who move on to the next round.
