NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Jon Strikes Late Double
Stamford preserved their unbeaten record with two late goals in an eventful game at the Zeeco Coleshill took the lead after a mistake in midfiled let Amarvir Sandhu in to beat Dan Wallis at his near post. A long ball saw Jon Margetts shoot first time just over. Stamford were awarded a free kick, and following a melee in the box Red cards were shown to Jake Duffy and Josh Willis (N.B. This was in fact Taylor Byrne). Stamford then had Cameron Johnson red carded for an off the ball incident as the game continued to boil over. Colshill lost Sandhu for two yellow cards in two minutes. The home side netted an equaliser when Jake Duffy's (thought he'd been sent off?) cross was headed into the top corner by Margetts after NINE minutes of time added on and Margetts snatched the win with a superb header from a Sean Wright cross.

MATCH REPORT
Undefeated Stamford were pushed all the way by Coleshill but in a very bad tempered game, 4 Red Cards and numerous Yellow's, the home side snatched all three points in time added on although the Colemen were convinced the winner never crossed the line.

Coleshill took an early lead on 3 minutes when Amarvir Sandhu intercepted the ball in his own half and kept running and running. Once inside the box Sandhu's left foot shot beat home keeper Wallis at his near post and squirmed over the line. Coleshill's hard work and defensive formation frustrated the Daniels, their only threat a long throw in to their giant defenders which Coleshill struggled to cope with but survived the first 45 minutes.

Sensing their best chance of scoring would come from the air, Stamford's second half airial bombardment was constant but a bad tempered game was always going to boil over as the Referee failed to take control. Coleshill's captain Taylor Carter-Byrne and Stamford centre forward Jake Duffy both saw Red after a boxing match in the Town 18 yard box. Stamford’s Cameron Johnson, who had only just entered the fray as a substitute, was shown a direct Red card for an off the ball incident. Coleshill should have been able to see the game out with a man and a goal advantage but Amarvir Sandhu was shown two yellow cards literally minutes apart and this gave the home side hope. Stamford continued with their long high ball tactics which eventually paid off in the never ending time added on. It was Margett’s that headed both goals although the Coleshill defence were adamant that the second effort never crossed the line.

Two injury time goals from Jonathan Margetts secured victory for the Daniels over Coleshill Town.
The game was incident packed which saw four players receiving red cards, two from each side.

Stamford started with the same starting eleven that began against Shepshed Dynamo. The only change on the bench was Amir Ward replacing Charlie Coppola.

Coleshill Town started on the front foot and took the lead after just three minutes.

Left back Amarvir Sandhu intercepted the ball on the halfway line and stormed into the Daniels half and with defenders backing off him he got close to goal and slotted the ball past Dan Wallis from close range. Stamford’s first effort came after fourteen minutes when Jack Duffy fired a shot from outside the box but straight at goalkeeper Paul Hathaway. Then Coleshill had a chance when Kai Tonge got down the left, but his shot was blocked by Wallis.

After the lacklustre first half, manager Graham Drury made two changes with new signing Billy Benett and Jon Challinor replacing Connor Bartle and Joe Burgess.

Coleshill had a shot early on when George Washbourne fired a shot straight at Wallis. Then Tongue had a shot which was wide of the goal. Then Jonathon Margetts met a long ball, but he fired his shot over the bar.

On the hour mark, the first of the red cards was issued when Jack Duffy was shown a straight red for a confrontation with Taylor Byrne. Byrne was also given his marching orders for his part in the altercation.

Stamford continued to find an equaliser but were reduced to 9 men when substitute Cameron Johnson was sent off for retaliation. With ten minutes remaining, Stamford almost grabbed a goal, when the ball pinged around the penalty area, but the ball went just wide of the goal.

Then goalscorer Sandhu was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in just a few minutes.

As the game entered injury time, Stamford has a chance when Challinor had a header blocked for a corner. Then a cross from the left was headed out to Jake Duffy who crossed the ball back into the box and it was met by Margetts who directed his header past Hathaway in the Coleshill goal.

Then Stamford grabbed a winner when a long throw from Bennett was headed on by Sean Wright the ball was cleared only back to Wright who lobbed the ball to Margetts who headed the ball into the net.
