MATCH REPORT
The game started with possibly the quickest goal of the season. On 29 seconds Kai Tonge crossed for Kyle Jardine to head home although keeper Ross Bilham should have done better. Dereham almost hit back instantaneously but Ryan Swift’s effort was saved by Home keeper Paul Hathaway and the ball cleared off the line. The game was even from then with few chances for either side until the 70th minute when George Washbourne cut inside onto his favoured left foot and hit an absolute beauty into the top of the net. Just three minutes later the game was over as Kai Tonge pinched the ball 10 yards inside the Dereham half and outpaced the defence, rounded the keeper and rolled into an empty net. One sad note the Dereham keeper Bilham was sent off after the final whistle for an alleged head butt.
Star Man: Alex Tomkinson (Coleshill)

An injury hit Dereham side left the Pack Meadow Stadium pointless.

Dereham got off to a bad start when Coleshill scored with their first attack in the opening minute. Liam Molesworth delivered a low cross from the right, and Kyle Jardine was first to react to net from close range. The Magpies nearly replied immediately when Nathan Edden glanced Louis Henman-Mason’s cross goalward forcing home keeper Paul Hathaway into a superb low save. Home defender Jamie Ashmore was injured in clearing the loose ball and had to be replaced. Dereham keeper Ross Bilham did well to leave his box and beat Molesworth in a sprint to the ball. Some good defending by Kia Thurston thwarted another home attack. In the 34th minute Molesworth centred to the far post where the unmarked Jardine headed firmly downward with a goal looking likely. However, Dereham keeper Bilham made a brilliant close range reaction save to deny the striker a second. The Magpies forward passes continued to be sloppy as they looked for openings. The home side threatened once more, with Kai Tonge heading on top of the visitor's bar.

The Magpies trailed at the break from the early strike. Dereham regrouped at the interval, with Manager Tom Parke bringing on Charlie Marshall. Coleshill’s Jardine controlled a ball well in the box and turned, but scuffed his shot into Bilham’s arms. In the 60th minute Henman-Mason and Luke Johnson combined to set up a shooting chance for Joe Gascoigne who’s 20 yarder was comfortably saved. Ryan Swift and Gascoigne then linked well to win a corner, which was wasted. The Colemen also won a corner on the right. Swift leapt well to head clear. Henman-Mason looked to be impeded by a defender as he chased a low ball in the box in the 66th minute as Dereham started to up their game. However, George Washbourne was given far too much space in the visitors box and was allowed to smash home a left foot drive to increase Coleshill’s lead in the 69th minute. Minutes later, Kai Tonge sprinted clear of the Dereham back line and rounded Bilham to net with ease the home side’s third. In the 85th minute Charlie Marshall passed out wide to Mo Hamza who chipped a dangerous ball across the home six-yard line that was cleared. The Magpies continued to battle without success. On time, Dereham keeper Ross Bilham received a red card following a challenge near the touch line, with the attacker making a meal out of the incident.
