NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
James Spruce's second half penalty saw Gresley Rovers defeat Coleshill Town. In what was a closely fought affair, it was the hosts who made the breakthrough after a back and forth first half. It may just prove to be a very important three points come the end of the season for relegation contenders Gresley, but Spruce didn't let the pressure become known from the spot, slotting away with ease in the 72nd minute. The result leaves the hosts 17th, and just inside the danger zone on goal difference. Meanwhile, the visitors are now down to eighth place, seven points adrift of the play off places.
Star Man: James Spruce. Gresley.

MATCH REPORT
A poor game played in difficult conditions including torrential rain at times. The Home team coped better in the conditions and deserved the three points.
The game was in doubt right up to the last minute due to continues rain but the pitch was deemed playable and both teams gave it a go. There was little between the sides in the first half but in the second half with the slope to their advantage Gresley were awarded two penalties. The first on 47 minutes was blazed over the bar but the second on 70 minutes proved to be the winner and was converted by Spruce. Coleshill were on top towards the end but couldn't find an equaliser.
