NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Dereham were soundly beaten after making a dreadful start at Aldiss Park. After a scrappy opening, Dion Frary failed to intercept a cross enabling Kai Tonge the easy task of netting from close. Things soon got worse for the hosts as Coleshill broke and George Washbourne centred for Tonge to add his second from point back range. Dereham settled their nerves when they pulled a goal back, Louis Henman-Mason netting with a superbly executed volley. The visitors increased their lead when Taylor Byrne headed home in the 57th minute, before Amarvir Sandhu capitalised on indecision in the home defence. Coleshill were reduced to ten men in the 71st minute when Tonge was dismissed.

MATCH REPORT
By Colin Wheatley

The Colemen and their supporters boarded the coach for the long road trip to Norfolk seeking a second consecutive away win. Weather dry, sunny periods with a stiff breeze.

First Half

The Colemen got off to an excellent start and dominated the play for the first 20 minutes. During that period Coleshill had several attempts to score with efforts from Tongue, Sandhu and Washbourne. The away side finally made the breakthrough after 8 minutes when Tonge scored after good work by Doyle, Sandhu and Williams. Coleshill doubled their lead with another goal from league top scorer Tonge on 17 minutes.
Going two behind woke up the home team who started to pass the ball around and win the midfield. The away defence failed to pick up right winger Johnson who crossed to an unmarked Henman-Mason who shot from 18 yards into the bottom right hand corner of the net giving Hathaway no chance to make a save. Coleshill tried hard to regain the initiative but continued to struggle in midfield and created no real opportunities to score again before the break.

Half Time 1-2

Second Half

In the second period Coleshill were much stronger and began to dominate the play. Good defending, particularly from Higginson and Byrne, eased the pressure on their midfield and allowed Sandhu, Washbourne and Williams chances to open up the Magpies defence. Following a corner, on 56 minutes an excellent cross from Washbourne was superbly met by Byrne and his header smashed into Bilham’s net for 3-1. Then on 69 minutes a long kick from Hathaway was headed on by Tonge allowing Sandhu to tap home to make it 4-1 to the visitors. With the fans expecting more goals on 71 minutes a confrontation between Tonge and keeper Bilham led to a yellow card for the Coleshill centre forward. As he had been booked earlier for kicking the ball away he was dismissed from the field. Despite several attempts by the Magpies to score, the away side defence stood firm to take all three points.
