Coleshill In Give-Away Mood
Two poor, if experimental sides, met at Church Lane on Tuesday night and Boldmere's experiments seemed more successful although this Midland Combination Division One result flattered them. A fair summary would be to say that Coleshill gave away two goals and Boldmere scored one. Coleshill were just holding their own up to the 61st minute when Dave Jukes, going through a bad patch, won the ball at the back and seemed to have it covered. He then passed it inexplicably across goal allowing Bray to nip in and score. Eighteen minutes later Bray ran through strongly on the right, only to be tripped in the penalty area by Phelps. The spot kick was converted by Gavin. Coleshill were coming back more into the game but Boldmere broke out again and Tucket made sure with the third goal from a good build up.
