COLESHILL CHRONICLE WROTE
Unlucky Coleshill

Solihull Borough can thank their stars for this result which in no way reflects the game played on Tuesday night. After early pressure, some strong tackling break-outs and three gift goals, they spent much of the evening penned in their own half. Town displayed a sparkle which produced some excellent football and was far better than anything they have shown for a long time. A silly defensive error let in the first Borough goal on 23 minutes, Turner turning it home by the left post after Capper had missed a ball from the right. Suteran added the second Solihull goal in the 65th minute, again from a defensive mix-up. Allcock pulled one back for Coleshill with the best goal of the match, a fierce sideways shot in the 79th minute from a fine header from Nabbs. Allcock has now scored five goals in four games. Holmes lobbed Borough's third goal in the dying seconds, Capper apparently having caught it, only to tip it backwards into the net. In between these blows, Coleshill hit the woodwork Four times and had the Borough defence in such a tangle that it was impossible that they should finish on the losing side. More control at the back and another opportunist striker in support of Allcock and Nabbs could turn this Coleshill side into a winning one. One young man who improved greatly was Carl Mc Donald, who showed that using both wings could be highly effective.
