Town Tumble As Bridgnorth Net Double
Coleshill travelled to Championship seeking Bridgnorth on Saturday, and, but for the first half hour, did little to stop the Shropshire side's challenge writes Geoff Cupples. Smart attacks favoured Coleshill in the opening stages, but Bridgnorth settled down to dictate matters and eight minutes from the interval Vince Francis, their leading goalscorer, shot home the first goal from a Hemsley pass. Bridgnorth increased the pressure in the second half and their second goal came from Hemsley in the 47th minute, after a good build up by Bradbury and Francis. Coleshill struggled to find their recent form and to add to their misery, Bradbury added a third goal after 67 minutes, ending a 30 yard run by chipping the ball over the advancing keeper Cooksey. Only consolation for Coleshill is that Bridgnorth are the only side in the top half of the table to have claimed a "double" over them this season.
