Highgate United 0 v 2 Coleshill Town

Coleshill Town continued their climb up the Midland Combination Premier Division with a 2-0 victory at Highgate United on Tuesday night. Coleshill, sitting in third place, six points behind second placed Highgate, knew they had to win if they were to keep up their pursuit of a promotion spot. they took the lead in the first half when Josh McPherson headed home from a corner. Highgate rarely troubled the Coleshill back line in the second half and it came as no surprise when Town doubled their lead, David Brush scoring with two minutes left to give Town a crucial win. Manager Mick Beadle was more than pleased with his team's performance, saying, "We played really well all game and were the dominant team from start to finish. We had several chances to add to our lead with Highgate really not troubling us."
