Friar Lane & Epworth 3 v 2 Coleshill Town Reserves

Coleshill's new, young, reserve side were hard done by at Friar Lane as the played their first ever game in the Reserve Division.

For 18 minutes Town ran the older home team ragged but fell behind when Lane broke from a Coleshill corner and had a 5 on 2 advantage. Danny Carter replied with an early contender for goal of the season as he completley wrong footed two defenders and struck a sweet shot into the bottom corner from 25 yards. Coleshill had had a good shout for a goal as the ball was cleared off (or over) the line then Jamie Shipway hit the post as Coleshill pilled on the pressure but a hopefull ball bounced over the advancing Richard Anson in the Town goal and they were 2-1 down. Worse was to follow as Friar Lane increased the lead with a header from a corner. Justin Best had the ball in the net but was harshly judged off side before Danny Carter struck again in the dying seconds to make the score line 3-2.
