Match Report
Wednesday 6th September 2006
Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division
Coleshill Town 3 v 1 Gornal Athletic
Played three, won three, joint top of the league with Tamworth is not a bad start. Coleshill took some time to finally overcome a determined Gornal side who scored the first goal against the Town.
Coleshill started like a house on fire and should have scored more as they camped in Gornal's half. Steven Parsons did score but manager Ray Clamp was dissappointed with a 1-0 half time score. Gornal scored their equaliser with an unchallenged header from a corner and a game that should have been out of sight looked as though it would end in a draw. Justin Grandison squeezed a shot between keeper and post to relax the nerves then Isaac Robinson secured the points with an early contender for goal of the season.
Team;- Ryan Byfield (Capt), David Nash, Lee Nash, Robert Evans, Chris Green, Reiss Byfield, Justin Grandison, Isaac Robinson, TJ Holder, Danny Tymon, Steven Parsons.
