WE MEET AGAIN - ANSTEY NOMADS

The two teams met for the first time in a League game this season following their promotion from the United Counties Premier Division last season when they did the DOUBLE, League Champions and Cup Winners. That game, back in November, finished 3-1 to Anstey, George Washbourne getting the consolation goal.
The teams have however met a couple of times in the FA Vase, a draw at Pack Meadow but a defeat in the replay.

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
After three minutes a long ball from Everton found Casey who raced on to beat the keeper. Two minutes later Coleshill went two up when Bodfish's cross found Casey who headed home at the far post. Anstey reduced the arrears after eight minutes when McManus drove in a shot from 20 yards, and they pulled level on 14 minutes when a long ball into the box appeared to come off a Coleshill defender. On the half hour Coleshill retook the lead when Randall went on his own to finish with a low drive into the corner of the net. It was 3-3 nine minutes later thanks to McManus who scored his second goal with a dipping shot.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Six Goal First Half Thriller
Anstey fought back from two goals down to earn a replay in a first half thriller. Paul Casey put Coleshill two up in the first five minutes. But McManus signalled the visitors revival with a drive and then equalised to make it all square after 15 minutes. Coleshill re-took the lead on the half hour when Randall's shot found the corner of the net. Anstey made it all square again six minutes from half time through McManus.

Manager Brian Jordan will be hugely disappointed to lose this FA Vase tie as they should have booked their passage to the next round in the first game! Coleshill were 2-0 up after five minutes through a Paul Casey double, and 3-2 ahead just before half time with a Stuart Randall effort but couldn't close the game out! Casey scored again and Trevor Burroughs got his first of the season but Anstey made the most of their second chance with five goals to take them on to the Preliminary stage of the national competition.
