Coleshill Town 0 v 2 Tipton Town
Scorers: Tipton Ashley Wells, Ryan Mosedale.
The game began at a very quick pace, both teams eagerto impress in the first few minutes of the new season. Coleshill were consistently attaching throughout the first half with several shots from Lee James and James Fox just going wide. Stuart Hamilton and Richard Kavanaugh stopped several attacking moves from Tipton but their interceptions were to no avail. Steffano Aronaldi was then involved in an injury to his eye which led to treatment off the field - whilst Coleshill were down to 10 men Tipton took full advantage and a thunder shot from Asley Wells placed the visitors ahead. Although Coleshill had some strong distribution to the forwards no goals were produced and at half time the home side were 1-0 down.
Second half Tipton came out for a battle - Coleshill defended several attacks but eventually the 2nd goal from Tipton came from Ryan Mosedale. Coleshill pressured Tipton's goal mouth with Adam Kinder slotting in a very sweet shot, however the assistant referee ruled the player off side. James Fox also came close to scoring, forcing the keeper to push the ball wide. Changes were made through the game from Coleshill to try different formations and attacks but in the end the final score was Coleshill 0 Tipton 2.
Team: Craig Johnson, Rob Evans, Lee Millard (James Fox), Stuart Hamilton, Richard Kavanaugh, Lee James, Carl Adams, Rob Freeman, Steffano Arinaldi, Matty Robinson, Adam Kinder.
Carl Adams was dissappointed with the result and spoke to his players after the game to re motivate them to show more desire to gain the win at Kirby Muxloe on Tuesday.
Report by Paula Scott.
Coleshill started the new season with a narrow defeat to Tipton who finished last season in third place. With Neil Kitching and Martin Sockett leaving for pastures new as soon as the season ended, new manager Carl Adams has had a difficult job in recruiting a new squad. Only Matty Robinson, Ben Porter and Craig Johnson remain from last years players but with the two forwards unavailable for this game only keeper Johnson made the starting line up.
Tipton lined up as they did last year, big and strong at the back, tidy and workman like in midfield and two whippets up front but they looked all at sea in the opening minutes when Coleshill could and should have took the lead with good openings falling for Lee James and James Fox. Tipton slowly came into the game and once they took the lead through a wonder strike from Ashley Wells on 15 mins, they grew in confidence and easily deserved the three points. Coleshill never gave up and enjoyed some good possession but rarely troubled the visitors keeper, having to relie on dead ball kicks from Carl Adams and James Fox, both of which went narrowly wide. Tipton scored their second when Ryan Mosedale, looking suspiciously off side, ghosted in at the far post to shoot past Johnson on 50 mins but they never converted their superiority into further goals.
Carl Adams will be fairly pleased with this first game and is well aware he will need to strengthen the side considerably but if Tipton are to finish in the top three or four, which they surely will, then Coleshill should be capable of a mid table finish. Any advance on that would definately be a big bonus.
Team:- Craig Johnson, Steffano Aronandi, Stuart Hamilton (Capt), Richard Kavanaugh, Lee Millard, Lee James, Carl Adams (Rob Evans), Keiran Doyle (Kristian Kelsall), Ryan Scott (Lee Bloxham), Adam Kinder, James Fox.

COLESHILL TOWN 0 TIPTON TOWN 2
A goal in each half gave Tipton the perfect start to the new season as a potentially tricky game at Coleshill was comfortably won.
The home started brightly, Adam Kinder lobbing over from close range, Tipton’s Nicky Pugh cleared the crossbar after a Ryan Mosedale cross.
The first goal came in spectacular style, the ball broke to debutant Ashley Wells and he unleashed a powerful drive which took a slight deflection and flew past Craig Johnson via the underside off the crossbar.
Richard Huckfield could and probably should have added the second soon after when he rose highest from a Pugh cross but the ball went just over the bar.
It was still Tipton in control after the interval, another switched ball causing the home side problems when Mosedale found Pugh but the finish was wide of the far post.
Tipton didn’t have to wait long to get the important second goal, eight minutes after the restart and the game was all over, good work from Chris Morris saw him battle his way past Steffano Aronandi to the by-line and his cross was perfect for Mosedale who made no mistake from close range.
The home side did have their spell but failed to trouble Wes Cox, James Fox fired wide of the target with a free kick, Carl Adams did the same minutes later.
Tipton could have added a third late on when Calum Martin and Morris linked up but it stayed at two.
