Coleshill Promotion Hopes Hit The Rocks
The wheels well and truly came off the Coleshill Town promotion bandwagon at the weekendwith a shocking performance at Fairfield Villa. An almost full strength team fell to an embarrassing defeat against an average Villa side. But it could have been different as Town opened brightly with Frank Woodburn and Paul Burns both went close with efforts. But five minutes before the break, keeper Greg Allen fumbled a cross and Villa took the lead. After the break, a Villa player was allowed a free header from a corner to increase the lead and the hosts then caught Town on the break with two more break-away goals.
