SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Title contenders Moor Green made most of the early running but it was ten minutes before Bell produced the first effort of the match with an off target header. When Coleshill did find their front runners, Brosnan was on hand in the unfamiliar role of centre half to tidy up. But neither Brosnan nor team mate Owens could prevent Polack from giving Coleshill a 14th minute lead as he headed home a far post free kick. An arkward bounce prevented Canning from making it 2-0 following a defensive mix up and Coleshill were in command as Polack headed against the bar. In the 21st minute Cotton seemed to have equalised but a superb reflex save from Howkins denied his diving header. Polack was as clever in defence as he had been in attack and effectively cleared as Moore threatened several times. Mitchell had rarely been given a chance to run at the defence, then three players fired inches wide.
Half Time Moors 0 v 1 Coleshill.
In the second half Polack was as effective as ever and his presence was enough to upset Cotton.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Moors Save Pride With Late Goals

Moors gave their supporters an almighty fright by going a goal down in the first half. But a solid fightback produced three second half goals to earn the points. Looking full of tension Moors didn't settle and in the 14th minute failed to cut out a far post free kick allowing Polack to power home a header past the helpless Wooton. But once Cotton had equalised on the hour, Moors produced some effective football and it was no real surprise when Mitchell put them in the lead from Byrne's excellent pass 16 minutes later. It was Coleshill's turn to struggle and they had no answer to McDermott's right wing cross which was touched on by Hawkins into the path of Brooks who picked his spot from close range. This was one minute from time.

Coleshill Town v Moor Green still to be arranged at this time. Must have been postponed earlier in the season. Not much time to fit it in before end of season.
