February has seen Coleshill become League Leaders of the Midland Combination Premier Division for the first time in its history. There was great celebrations when they beat West Midlands Police 2-0 on the 18th February to go to the top of the Premier Division, and this was consolidated with a fine win at Paget Rangers the following Saturday. If they can keep this form they should have no trouble finishing the season as League Champions. The Team was BRMB's non-league Team Of The Month for January 1984 and an enjoyable evening was had by all when Don Clarke of BRMB radio came to the Club on Wednesday 15th February to present the trophy. In March the Town will have been at their present ground of Pack Meadow, Packington Lane for 10 years. Much has happened during these years and no doubt this will bring back a lot of memories to many people. An evening to celebrate this anniversary is to be held in the Club House on Saturday 31st March, for past and present members. Chairman Harry Davies and his committee look forward to seeing everyone connected with the Club for this special occasion. Saturday afternoon games kick off at 2.45pm so why not come along and support your local team and join in their success. (2.45 Kick Off due to no floodlights. Floodlights weren't fitted until 1997.)

TAMWORTH (Coleshill) HERALD WROTE
Major Blow To Coleshill's Title Hopes

Coleshill's Championship hopes received a severe dent with this unexpected defeat at struggling Cinderford. Although without three regular first team players, Coleshill dominated the opening exchanges and three easy chances went begging before they eventually took the lead five minutes before the interval. Jim Rosborough ended a good mid-field build up with a shot from the edge of the box. In the second half, the pattern of play was totally reversed with Cinderford on top from the start. A bad defensive error by Clarke allowed them to equalise on the hour and fifteen minutes later a strong header from a corner put Cinderford in front. Straight from the kick off, Roy Ashman had an easy chance to salvage a point, but with the goal at his mercy, he slipped and the chance had gone.
