MATCH REPORT
First game of a new season with a new manager and coaching staff and Eleven new players making their debut. After a fabulous pre-season, 8 wins from 8 games and 33 goals scored, and playing a team from a lower league, a win in the FA Cup was expected, but it never worked out that way.
Make no mistake, Eastwood are a very good side and must be favourites to step up to Coleshill's level next season.
Coleshill did have the better chances, Taylor Carter-Byrne coming the closest as a header from a corner came back off the bar. Town's new keeper Ben Newey had very little to do but Coleshill could not break through the tight lines that the visitors maintained even when Watt, a rock in their defence, was sent off for a second yellow card in just a few minutes. The new look Coleshill squad has goals in them but they look like strangers this early in their campaign and will get better. Whether that will come at the replay on Tuesday night, who knows?
